under the title “NEW EUROPEAN MUSIC TEACHER”
I.
PROJECT INFORMATION
STAR EDUCATION ASSOCIATION implements the Erasmus project, a cooperation partnership in the field of Vocational Training, nr. 2024-1-RO01-KA220-VET-000252787, with the name”NEW EUROPEAN MUSIC TEACHER”, in the period: 15.11.2024 – 14.11.2027.

The objectives of the project are:
O1: Developing music teachers’ competences to use new methods of teaching music through their participation in instrumental courses (guitar, bass, percussion) and digital music production courses O2: To facilitate teachers’ understanding of the digital music ecosystem by conducting a study on music teaching in non-vocational pre-university music education in partner countries O3: To create a modern optional curriculum for music teaching in schools, using digital tools and a best practice guide
O4: To improve transnational cooperation by involving music and pedagogical specialists from three European countries: Romania, Latvia and Sweden.
II. SUBJECT OF THE SELECTION NOTICE
1. Selection of 7 experts who will contribute to the documentation and creation of two instruments: a. A modern optional curriculum for music teaching in secondary education (gymnasium); b. A guide of good practices for music teaching in secondary education.
2. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the general and specific conditions for participation set out below.
III. GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. Participant:
- is a national of a Member State of the European Union or of a Member State of the European Economic Area residing in Romania, Sweden, Latvia;
- has full exercise capacity;
- must not have been definitively convicted for committing a crime against humanity, against the state or against authority, related to duty or in connection with duty, impeding the administration of justice, forgery, or acts of corruption or an intentionally committed crime that would make them incompatible with exercising the function, except where rehabilitation has intervened;;
- fulfills the specific conditions of the call.
IV. SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
1. Participant:
- Holds one of the following positions:
- school inspector at ISJ Ilfov or in partner countries
- music teacher with at least 5 years teaching experience in the subject
- expert in education, with experience in developing studies in the field of music/ pedagogy/ music education/ music pedagogy/ music production/
- representative of music NGOs
- a university graduate with experience in teaching/educational/musical activity or in carrying out studies, programs, analysis, guides
- Professor in Education Sciences/ Sociology/Music
- Communication skills in English (minimum level B1)
- Has advanced digital skillsSkills: ability to work as part of a team; results orientation and achievement of objectives within the set deadlines; ability to analyze and synthesize; ability and experience in the realization of documents subject to the call.
- Has availability to participate in transnational meetings
2. It consists and advantage if:
- Teachers/inspectors who have participated in other Erasmus projects
- Teachers/inspectors with more than 10 years’ seniority
- Specialists in the elaboration of curricula, guides, in the areas listed in point IV.1.a. (minimum 3 documents)
- Teachers/inspectors who have developed optional school programs (minimum 3 programs)
- Music professionals with more than 10 years’ seniority

VI. TASKS OF SELECTED PARTICIPANTS
- Expert group meetings, organized in physical and online format
- Collaboration with the other experts in the realization of the products listed in II.1.
- Assumes and performs duties under the contract
- Respect the deadlines for the realization of the products listed in point II.1.
- Engage in project dissemination activities and transfer of good practices
- Respond to other requests from the project implementation team in order to optimize the project results
- One of the 4 selected experts from Sweden and Latvia will take over the duties of the guide coordinator.
VII. SELECTION PROCEDURE
- The selection of the participants is realized as follows: each country selects its experts. The 4 Romanian experts will be selected by the project beneficiary, STAR EDUCATION ASSOCIATION.
a. Selection at country level:
- The legal representative of each responsible organization (ASOCIAȚIA STAR EDUCATION – Romania, Musichelp Sweden AB/ Sweden and SIA Zvaigznāja komanda/ Latvia) issues the decision for the selection team consisting of minimum 3 members (coordinator, member, member with secretarial duties); The selection panel cannot include persons who intend to apply for the selection process of this call. (Model Annex 1)
– Each country committee may adapt the selection criteria according to the specificities of the country, taking into account the objectives of the project and the subject of this call.
– Each committee in each country may request (before or after submitting the file) documents that support the activity in the CV and/or a letter of intent.
- Interested applicants will submit an application (Annex 2) online or at the organization’s offices in the country concerned, accompanied by a CV outlining their competencies relevant to this call.
- The selection team evaluates and fills in the Evaluation Sheet (Annex 3).
- The selection team organizes an interview for potential participants with equal marks, using an interview grid developed by each partner country.
- The selection team from each country fills in the Centralizer (Annex 4) with all the participants in the selection, in the order of the score obtained.
- The selection team receives and re-evaluates applications in case of appeals.
- The legal representative of the organizations in Sweden/Latvia submits online to Star Music Association a single scanned PDF document containing Annex 4 – Centralizer

- The final selection of participants is carried out as follows:
The selection team set up at STAR EDUCATION ASSOCIATION:
- Centralizes the participants in the selection from Romania and those mentioned in the lists received from the organizations in Sweden and Latvia, organized in order of score, by country (Annex 4).
- Analyzes the number of places available for each country, based on the scores obtained.
- It constitutes the list of selected experts and the reserve list, if any.
- It validates the final list of selected experts and makes it known at partnership level. (Annex 5)
